In previous posts, we talked about how your destiny is determined by your thoughts, and how you can create new thought processes. It is important to be purposeful in guarding your thoughts and minds if you want to live a peaceful and prosperous life. Here we see in Scripture that it is not by accident that there is a battle with our thoughts – for our good or our demise. Let us use these tools to enhance our lives.
Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will." (NIV)
Philippians 4:6-8 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, ...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things." (NIV)
In these times of unrest, turmoil, confusion, and violence, where can we turn for peace? How can we know what the truth is in the various circumstances of our world? Invite Jesus into your life, follow His lead, and the Holy Spirit will lead you in all the truth.
John 8:31-32 “To the Jews who had believed in Him, Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.’” (NIV)
John 14:26-27 (Jesus is speaking) " But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (NIV)
