John personified the Spirit of the Lord. He was the only person we all knew who could love everyone he met, just as God loves each of us. Whatever your station in life, John could connect with you so that you could feel loved and encouraged. No one who had ever seen his smile had not been touched by the love of God. John, we are all heartbroken for our loss and yet grateful for the time we had together and for the example of living a life of love that you have shown to each of us.
I have included John’s pages on my website as a tribute to him and to keep his legacy of living and sharing the love of God alive. John died somewhat suddenly on September 22, 2020. He was the Godliest person I have ever met. He was as surrendered to God as a person could get. He was the only person I’ve known who could truly love anyone he met with the love of God – gentle, kind, nonjudgmental, a great sense of humor, compassionate, and with a smile that would melt your heart. I was truly blessed to be married to him for 26 years and our children were blessed to have had him as their father, a real-life reflection of God our Father. It is my hope that as you read his writings, you are touched and can feel God’s love through them.
